Once Again, Slovakia Triumphs 1-0 Over Human Rights

|

Let me tell you a story. It's about a little country far, far away called Slovakia. It's a very bizzare country - not only is it (once again) lead by a corrupt Che Guevara-wannabe (whose previous government left a disastrous debt behind), it also has this mystical building inhabited mostly by strange creatures known as members of parliament. They're usually not good nor evil, but morally ambiguous so sometimes it happens that, when offered a chance to speak up for themselves, their more sinister alter-egos appear and nobody really does anything about that, as Slovaks are a very peaceful apathetic nation.

30 Inspiring Movie Quotes About Love, Life, Poetry, And Everything Else

The Right Time to Forgive? Now.

My dad's mother has been “dying” for like 20 years now. My parents thought it was real this time so we went to visit her. She lives with my aunt in a Soviet-style block not far from where I live, yet only seldom do I go there. And I have a good reason.

Last Year's Confessions

|

I have something to confess: I've come to realize that last year I somehow managed to write lots of bullshit. Partially to make sense of all the thoughts and crazy ideas in my head and, to some extent, to get your attention. This year, however, I swear to be a better person and a better writer than I was last year. I swear.

Well, so much for this year's resolutions and now let me show you how last year shaped my life so that I could become the new me, the Franz 2.0.
